The Silkworth Extreme Team Challenge is now in its 4th year having raised over £35k for the charity since it was launched in 2014. The event is taking place this year on Saturday 02nd September and is a relay style event which encompasses activities such as: Coasteering, Cycling, running, swimming and Kayaking taking in the whole coast of the island, starting and finishing at Greve De Lecq.

The charity is delighted to announce that they have a new sponsor for 2017. The well established local organisation ‘ Sigma ‘ have agreed to be the main sponsor for the event which makes it possible for the charity to maximise the amount of money that it can raise for the organisation that ultimately all goes towards the operation and development of The Recovery Day Service.

Chief Executive Officer of the Silkworth Charity Group, Jason Wyse, said: ‘We are delighted that Sigma have seen the opportunity to partner with the Silkworth Extreme Team Challenge. There are a lot of charitable sporting events these days where corporate organisations are being asked to help support, so we are honoured that Sigma have chosen our sporting challenge to support for 2017’.

Karen Cox from Sigma said “We are delighted to be involved in this year’s Silkworth Challenge. Sigma has been providing goods and services in the Island for over 80 years so supporting this very worthy cause is a great way to help our local community.”
