Silkworth Christmas Party

On Saturday 16th December , Silkworth Charity Group hosted is annual Christmas party for people within the local community that are in Recovery from drug/alcohol addiction.  The event was held at our Recovery Day Service and seen approximately 30 – 40 people attend throughout the evening, including children.  Hot Soup, teas, coffees, juice and lots of cakes where provided and donated in order to make the second annual party a great success.

Jason Wyse said ‘ The event seen many people in recovery attend the party and enjoy a party without the need for alcohol and/or drugs.  It was great to see people chatting freely and the children having fun and enjoying the party as it was intended. ‘.

The Recovery Day Service is a drop in facility for people that suffer with addiction to be around like minded people in recovery in a safe , caring and non judgemental environment.
